Terry Bliss has 25 years of experience in the paper industry including fundamental research in fiber processing technology, papermaking, and paper physics, process and product development, research management, management of technology, and intellectual property development and management. He has also worked in process consulting, marketing of technology products, technical service, teaching and training, and general process engineering.

Dr. Bliss is well known in the paper industry as the developer of several widely used stock cleaning devices; about 50% of the recycled fiber in the US is processed by equipment he developed or improved. He is known as a talented problem solver who brings creative and practical solutions to difficult problems.

A prolific communicator, Dr. Bliss has more than 50 writing credits, including peer-reviewed journal articles, short course and workshop sections, books and book chapters. He also serves as a reviewer and writing coach, and is currently Technical Editor for papermaking for a leading technical journal.
